Biography
Jeremy Dixon completed his Doctorate in Information Technology at Towson University in May 2016. The research was related to mobile application development for healthcare and was entitled, “A Novel Approach to Improving Pediatric-To-Adult Medical Care Transition Using a Mobile Device Application”. Before joining UMBC, Dr. Dixon was an Associate Professor of Information Technology and Chair of the Information Technology and Computer Information Systems programs at Central Penn College. In addition to his work in information technology, Dr. Dixon has earned master’s degrees in geoenvironmental studies from Shippensburg University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to working in academia, Dr. Dixon has worked for three large companies including Wells Fargo, BAE Systems, and SAIC.
